Beloved SAK Co-Founder Passes Away

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we inform you that Bob Affholder, our inspirational co-founder and a father figure to many at SAK, has passed away.
Bob was not only a leader in the trenchless industry, but also a beloved figure at SAK. His role as SAK’s vice-chairman was instrumental in quickly establishing the company as a respected leader in the industry. His professional achievements were matched only by his warmhearted personality, as he was well known for his ability to connect with everyone and his legendary hugs.
Bob’s principles of hard work, trust, and respect are not just words at SAK; they are the foundation of our culture. His belief in hiring the best people, empowering them, and enabling them to thrive has forever shaped our company. His 60+ year career building three successful companies is a testament to these principles, and his list of former co-workers includes some of his closest friends.
Bob’s presence is irreplaceable, and he will forever be missed by those who were lucky enough to know him. The team here at SAK remains committed to his values as we carry on his legacy for years to come. That is how we will best honor him.
